Glossary / Payment processing fee

What is Payment processing fee?

A payment processing fee is what Stripe (or another card processor) charges to move money from a supporter’s card to the creator, on top of any platform fee.

How it works on Yaff

Yaff uses Stripe Checkout and Connect. Terms say processing fees are charged by Stripe. Comparisons on this site do not invent a Yaff-bundled rate.

Example

A US card charge may incur Stripe’s standard percentage + fixed fee; your Stripe dashboard shows the exact amount.

Frequently asked questions

Does Creator $19/mo remove Stripe fees?

No. It only sets Yaff’s platform fee to 0%.
