Steps
-
Step 1
Open Memberships from your dashboard
Creators manage tiers under Dashboard → Memberships (not the supporter Settings screen). Add a tier with a unique name, a description, a price of at least $1, and a currency: USD, NZD, AUD, CAD, EUR or GBP.
-
Step 2
Choose what the tier is for
Each tier has checkboxes for videos, posts, ebooks and photos. Those flags show as badges on the membership card and are used when you assign a product to specific tiers. They do not automatically hide all_members content from cheaper tiers — see Exclusive content.
-
Step 3
Publish the tier
Save the membership. If Stripe is connected, Yaff creates a monthly recurring Price on your connected account. Changing the price later deactivates the old Stripe price and creates a new one. Supporters subscribe from yaff.io/yourname/memberships.
How to price a first tier
A common pattern for adventure and sport creators is a low updates tier, a mid tier for photo dumps and video, and a high tier for DMs or a members’ chat. There is no platform-required price. Start with what a superfan would pay monthly for the next 12 months of the journey, not a one-off donation.
Free passes
Each membership can have a free-pass code. Sharing /yourname/free-pass lets you gift a specific tier (for example to a moving Patreon member or a sponsor) without a Stripe charge. The subscription is stored as active with no Stripe subscription id.
Currencies
Currency is per membership, not per creator. A NZD tier and a USD tier can both exist. Stripe charges the supporter in that currency.
