Introducing Collections: A Better Way to Organize Your Yaff Page

As your Yaff page grows, so does your content library. What started as a handful of posts can quickly become dozens — and that's a great problem to have. But it does raise a real question: how do your fans and supporters actually find what they're looking for?

Today we're rolling out Collections, a new way to organize the content on your Yaff page so your audience can dive straight into what interests them.

What's changed
Up until now, your Yaff page showed all your content in a single list flowing down the page. That worked well in the early days, but it meant your latest post sat next to something from six months ago, with no easy way to group related work together.
The new layout is structured around how people actually browse:
  • Featured post — your latest piece of content takes pride of place at the top of the page
  • Latest — an automatic collection showing your most recent posts
  • Popular — an automatic collection surfacing the content your audience is loving most
  • Your custom collections — appearing below, organized exactly the way you want
The two automatic collections are created and updated for you. You don't need to lift a finger — Latest and Popular always reflect what's happening on your page right now.

Custom collections: organize your way
This is where Collections really comes into its own. You can group your content however makes sense for what you do.
Heading off on a big trip? Create an "African Adventure" collection and drop every post from that journey into it. When someone lands on your page months later, they can follow the whole story end to end without hunting through your archive.
Other ways creators are already using collections:
  • A series of tutorials grouped together
  • Seasonal content (summer recipes, winter projects)
  • Behind-the-scenes posts kept separate from finished work
  • Content for paying supporters versus free posts
  • Long-running themes or topics you come back to regularly

Creating and managing collections
Everything happens from your admin dashboard. To create a collection:
  1. Head to your dashboard and open the Collections section
  2. Give your collection a name
  3. Allocate the content you want included
That's it. The collection appears on your public Yaff page straight away, slotted in below the automatic Latest and Popular collections.
You can update a collection at any time — add new posts as you publish them, remove ones that no longer fit, or rename the whole thing. If you decide a collection isn't working, you can delete it and your content stays exactly where it was.

Why this matters
A well-organized page does two things for you. First, it helps fans find your latest work fast — the featured post and Latest collection mean nothing recent gets buried. Second, and just as importantly, it helps people discover more of what you do. Someone who came for one post might stay for a whole collection.
Collections is available now on every Yaff page. If you've been holding off on publishing more because your page was starting to feel cluttered, this is a good moment to come back and build it out.

Head to your dashboard to create your first collection — we can't wait to see how you organize things.
