How to Sell a Recipe Ebook: Simone Fougère's Yaff Page

Food, wellness and recipe creators often already have the file people ask for — a cookbook, a recipe bundle, a one-subject guide — and no shop. You do not need a membership to start. One paid ebook, a couple of free posts that actually help, and a tip option is enough. That mix is live on Simone Fougère's Yaff page.

Her profile describes an avid health foodie whose work comes out of a two-decade journey of healing and of exploring emotional, mental, physical and spiritual health: artisan plant-based food on the island of Ibiza for markets and private functions, years of experimenting with modern eating styles, then simplicity and intuitive nourishment on the island of Aotea. She joined Yaff in February 2025. She has no membership tiers.

I've been DJing, leading an organic lifestyle, cooking, baking and creating content for years but never had a platform to sell my recipes and ebooks. Yaff has been a game-changer for me.

— Simone Fougère

What she published

The centrepiece is a one-off ebook, Love Your Pulp!, priced at US$9.97 and published 24 February 2025. The listing summary calls the Revised Edition the Home Nut Milker's companion cookbook for leftover nut, seed or oat milk pulp. The description says it has 21 zero-waste recipes for turning that pulp into food, delivered as an instant download.

Next to the book she posted two free, public items:

  • NUTTY SEED BREAD (7 March 2025) — a recipe from the ebook. She writes that it is one of her favourites in Love Your Pulp!, easier for her to digest than grains, and that without nut pulp you can substitute almond flour and a little water. She ends by asking readers: “What is your favourite alternative to grain bread?”
  • Soaking Times for Nuts And Seeds (6 August 2025) — a photo post of a soaking-times chart she put together herself “after years of having to keep referencing online,” with an explanation of why nuts and seeds are soaked.

There is also a tip product, Say thanks with a tip, with a suggested amount of US$5.

The pattern: useful free posts, one paid file

The free posts are not filler. One is a real recipe from the book. The other is a reference chart people would keep. Together they show what the ebook is for; the shop then sells the PDF. The tip is a second door if someone wants to say thanks without buying the book. Nobody has to join a membership first.

How to sell a recipe ebook on Yaff

You do not need Simone's kitchen archive to use the same shape. You need a PDF, a price, and a page people can find.

1. Upload the PDF and set a price

On Yaff an ebook is a downloadable file — a cookbook, a recipe bundle, a one-subject guide. Charge a one-off price (Simone's Love Your Pulp! is US$9.97). Starter is free with a 5% platform fee; optional Creator ($19/mo) and Pro ($99/mo) plans drop the Yaff platform fee to 0% and include a 14-day trial. Payouts are scheduled daily to your bank via Stripe.

2. Give something useful away

Post one recipe from the book, or a chart, or a method people can use today. Keep those posts public. Simone's nutty seed bread and soaking-times chart are the working example: they help on their own, and they point at the paid file.

3. Add a tip if you want a second door

A suggested tip (hers is US$5) lets someone support you without buying the ebook. You do not have to add memberships. Posts, photo dumps, videos, ebooks, tips, group chats and DMs are all available if you want them later.

4. Share your Yaff link

Pick a URL like yaff.io/yourname and share it from Instagram, YouTube or a newsletter. Supporters sign in with a passwordless email link to buy.

Start a free page

If people already ask you for the recipes, the shop can go up before you write another chapter. Start your free Yaff page, upload the PDF, set a price, and point your audience at it.
