Change is funny. When you make a big decision, you never fully know how it will play out. You just follow what you feel called to and trust it.
9 months ago when I accepted my first corporate job, I felt like my life was being put on hold. But looking back now, I’m really grateful for that season. It gave me consistency, space to grow, and I fell in love with the life I had back home.
Since October, a lot happened. I became an uncle, led a Thailand group trip, got injured and did a lot of dirt biking, backpacking, snowboarding, mauy thai, and more. I spent a lot of time with my family, had a few work events, sprained my ACL, and packed for this trip.
Now I’m back on Zatara where this who journey started and we're sailing from Florida to Tahiti!
I know I didn’t share much during this season, but sometimes growth has to be quiet. I was honestly burnt out and chasing things that didn’t really matter to me.
Now I feel clear again. I’m excited to come back and focus on what I feel called to do which is pursue adventure, build real community, and grow in faith while bringing others along through Drifter Adventures (my future group trip business.)
If you stuck around during this time, I really appreciate you. It meant a lot meeting one of my longest standing YAFF members, Brad Miyake, recently and it gave me a glimpse into what bringing this community into real life could be like. I hope to meet more of you soon and hopefully share an adventure together!
YAFF will be the first place I share updates and behind the scenes from this trip, so feel free to drop questions anytime. I’ll be checking it every morning, even if that means closer to noon some days that I have night shift🫠
Alright, time to finish the Thailand video and get back to creating.
