FISH ON🎣🍣
Published about 1 month ago
Pretty typical day out here besides the fact that we finally caught our first fish (besides the first day)! We’re horrible fishermen, but somehow landed a mahi, so dinner tonight and tomorrow is looking pretty solid.
I’m also procrastinating way more now that we’ve been leaving the Starlink on longer. We paid for the extra data, so now it feels like we have to use it or lose it. We’ve still got about 500 gigs left.

how many days left on the food supply? I'm assuming you mean proteins and fresh fruit?. How do you store fresh water and is that in good supply?

We won’t run out of food on the crossing, but we’re definitely starting to feel the limits. Fresh fruit is gone now, and frozen meat is getting low. Thankfully, we have a water maker that we run every day. It makes about 60 gallons an hour, which is insane. If that broke, we’d be in a pretty bad spot. Some sailboats don’t have one and have to carry all their fresh water in jugs, which honestly sounds horrible and a little sketchy.
