Big Ole Update

Hey Yaffers (gosh, I hope that catches on one day haha). It's been a while since I last posted and a lot has been happening. I kicked things off with my first adventure for the run club I started here in Florida. We went to the springs, and l've realized how tough it is to build a consistent group of people who show up every week. It really takes a certain kind of person to keep that energy going.

After that, I spent a week in California with a few content creators, living out of a quarter-million-dollar adventure RV. It was an awesome trip and no, me and Glory aren't dating, we're just good friends lol. Jack's (from Sailing Zatara) ex-girlfriend came too, which I was a little hesitant about since I'm friends with him, but we all had fun and it honestly wasn't weird at all (I'm working on my YouTube video for the Cali trip now.)

Work has kept me traveling a lot lately. I've been filming in Savannah, Blue Ridge, and Chattahoochee Hills in Georgia, along with a few conferences here in Florida. When I'm home, l've been working on my bike, picking up new gear for future trips, and trying to find adventure in my own backyard again like I used to when I was a kid. I actually found the largest black bear l've ever seen in Florida only about fifteen minutes from me!

Since I started this job, work has been feeling kind of empty. The content I'm creating doesn't feel meaningful. I'm not inspiring anyone, and honestly, l'm not even inspiring myself. It just feels like noise. I finally watched Into the Wild for the first time somehow and it hit me hard. It made me take a step back and really think about what I want out of life again.

I'm planning to stick with this job for a year. I'm already five months in, but I can feel that pull for a big adventure coming back stronger than ever, so we'll see where it takes me...
