Some days are hard.

I train 5 days a week and today was a hard day. Read my rant :P
Today was a hard day.
It was one of those grueling training days where everything felt a little heavier — the shoes, the ball, even the air in the gym. The coach had warned us it was going to be tough, but none of us expected the intensity he brought. We started with suicides — sprinting back and forth across the court, each one faster than the last. Legs burning, lungs gasping for air, but nobody wanted to be the first to quit. The sound of squeaking shoes and the echo of whistles filled the space, a rhythm of struggle and effort.
After conditioning, we moved straight into full-court drills. It wasn't just about physical stamina; Coach demanded perfection — crisp passes, sharp cuts, tight defense. Mistakes meant do-overs, and do-overs meant more running. Tempers flared, communication got tested, but there was something about pushing through that kind of grind that brought out leadership. Someone always stepped up to rally the group, to keep energy high when morale was dipping. That’s how teams get stronger — not just through wins, but through suffering together.
The final stretch was all about repetition: shooting drills under pressure, free throws while fatigued, fast-break scenarios. Every shot missed felt personal, like letting the whole squad down. But every swish? That was a small victory, a reminder of why we put in the work. By the time we were done, everyone was drenched in sweat, bodies aching but minds locked in. Hard training days like this don’t just build skill — they build grit. And come game day, that’s what separates a good team from a great one.
